For the past few days, I have been watching the London Olympics and applauding all of the Gold, Silver and Bronze medals received by the athletes from the United States. Then all of a sudden I had that same feeling when Kirani James from Grenada crossed the finish line in the men’s 400 meters race. I felt like he was one of my best friends.
My recent trip to Grenada certainly stays in a part of my heart. I still can’t get over the warmth of the people and the beauty of the Island. There is really something special in Grenada.
Known as the Island of Spices, the tropical paradise captures the heart more than any other Island I have ever experienced including Aruba, Jamaica, Nassau, etc. Grenada is outstanding and promotes goodwill and harmony when guests or vacationers arrive by ship or plane. It is casual and yet has the elegance of style.
The Resorts and private vacation villas are absolutely perfect and the service is beyond the imagination. There is a genuine offering of friendship by the Grenadians, as they truly want you to enjoy yourself while there. You can’t imagine the explosive beauty in living color at each of the vacation spots. The views are breathtaking and you feel perfectly safe day or night.
The Convention and Visitors Bureau and all of the local authorities want you to enjoy yourself and come back to this Island over and over again. Believe me you will find this to be the best vacation you might ever have. Not only will the “spices” of the Island keep you well, you will find yourself walking in a dream when you discover all of the aspects of the Island.
